Credit card rewards could be the option

A survey by Marks and Spencer (M&S) Money found that just 28 per cent of people choose a credit card based on the reward scheme the card has in place, instead opting to use the interest rate as a guide.
However, for people who repay their balance in full each month, and therefore not accrue any interest charges, M&S says a reward-based credit card could be better.
"With so many people paying off their balance in full each month it's surprising more people don't look for ways to get something back from their spending. Using a credit card with loyalty rewards can help you save while you spend," said M&S Money's commercial director Dave MacKay.
Mr MacKay points to the example of the company's own &More credit card, which offers one point (to be spent in the future as vouchers) for every pound spent in M&S, and one point for every £2 spent elsewhere.
