New low-rate card for plastic people

Credit card users are set to benefit from the launch of a new card offering a competitive rate.
The Intelligent Finance credit card offers customers a typical 8.9 per cent APR (variable) and has been launched in response to consumer demand.
The card offers the same rate for purchases, balance transfers and cash withdrawals, something that a recent survey by moneysupermarket.com revealed to be important for customers.
"There is a growing trend towards standard rate credit cards, and we are responding to that demand," said Nick Robinson, managing director of Intelligent Finance.
"Like all our products, it has been designed to help people manage their finances more intelligently."
He added: "Our new card is designed for people who want a clear, simple and transparent card with a competitively low flat rate."
The card is released on the same day that a survey for the online bank egg revealed that Britons are underestimating credit card use by around £357 a month, or £201 billion annually.
